There are so many charities that you can knit and crochet for; I've taken part in a few which I have featured below, but I'm happy to post links to other knitting and crochet projects - just email me the link.

Woolley Donkey These donkeys are knitted for the Donkey Sanctuary.

They are donated to the Sanctuary who sell them in their shop.  This supports the wonderful work they do.

Each donkey seems to have its own character - they are all different and all lovable!

The Little Yellow Duck Project
Little Yellow Duck The Little Yellow Duck Project involves people around the world handcrafting little yellow duck gifts as random acts of kindness.

These are left in public places for others to find. A special tag on each one invites the finder to take their gift home to brighten their day and to visit the Project website to register where they found their gift.

It is hoped that the stories and information on the website will encourage the finder to pledge their own random act of kindness by registering to donate blood, bone marrow, organs & tissues.

Twiddlemuffs

Twiddlemuffs are knitted woollen muffs with items such as ribbons, large buttons or textured fabrics attached.  These can be twiddled whilst on a ward or in a care home or simply just at home.

People with dementia may have restless hands and like something to keep them occupied. Twiddlemuffs provide a source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation at the same time they keep hands snug and warm.

I've donated mine to local care homes.
