Hedgehog Hat
I had some King Cole Tinsel
wool for Christmas, after using I had a little bit left over......just enough
to knit a mini hedgehog for a bottle! |
With 5mm needles and tinsel wool, cast on 15st.
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Inc, purl to last st, inc (17st)
Row 3: Inc, knit to last st, inc (19st)
Rows 4 - 12: SS
Row 13: K2tog, K to last 2st, K2tog (17st)
Row 14: Purl
Row 15: K2tog, K to last 2st, K2tog (15st)
Change to 3.25mm needles and a contrasting DK wool |
Row 16: K2tog, K to last 2st, K2tog
(13st)
Row 17: P2tog, P to last 2st, P2tog (11st)
Row 18: Knit
Row 19: Purl
Row 20: K2tog, K to last 2st, K2tog (9st)
Row 21: Purl
Repeat last 2 rows twice more - 5st
Row 26: K2tog, K1, K2tog (3st)

To Make Up - Oversew base of hedgehog chin,
sew in the tinsel ends and ensure the hedgehog sits
snuggly on the bottle top. Tighten the tinsel
edge if needed. Sew on 2 small beads for eyes.
If you don't have any tinsel wool, you could use
other similar yarns - they seem to work equally as
well.
