Elephant Hat Trunk Cast on 2 Work as an I cord throughout for trunk Inc in each stitch K1, inc, inc, K1 Work a further 8 rows as an I cord Leave the trunk on a spare needle Head Cast on 10, knit across the 6 stitches of the trunk threading the cast on wool through with a darning needle if you are casting on using your thumb.  Cast on a further 10. SS 3 rows (K3, inc) repeat to end SS 7 rows (K2 tog) repeat to end Purl (K2 tog) repeat to end (P2 tog) repeat to end B & T tightly
			Ears x 2     Cast on 3     Inc, inc, K1     Knit     K, inc, K to end     K 7 rows     K2 tog, K2, K2 tog     K2 tog twice     K2 tog     B & T tightly
To make up: Sew the seam at the back of the head and sew in the wool ends from the trunk. Sew the ears to the side of the head as illustrated.
